This is a digital download for an 11" x 17" print describing the use of GUA SHA in Traditional East Asian Medicine, and shows what "sha" (the red petechia that happen in areas of tension when gua sha is performed for pain) looks like on the 6 skin types of the Fitzpatrick scale.

Gua sha, also referred to as “scraping”, “coining” or “spooning”, has been an important healing modality within Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM) for millennia. When done correctly, gua sha works with moving qi and blood in targeted areas, promoting flow and reducing stagnation resulting in a variety of health benefits both locally and for the entire body.

Gua sha has been gaining popularity with body workers due to it's immediate efficacy at reducing pain, and for it's ability to reduce the effects of aging on the face.

This 11" x 17" print is not an instructional piece. It is meant to be used a reference tool by trained practitioners in a clinical setting.

I recommend putting this file on a thumb drive and taking to your local copy shop for a color print on card stock. There is .5” of space all around to allow for a matte or frame if you like.
